a beautiful sound
Today, on their way home from swimming, LB & Seala found a lovely & amazing musical instrument! A kind neighbor had put it out front with a sign that said, “free to a good home,” and so when LB & Seala shyly went to ask him if it was indeed available, & assured him they would take very good care of it, he gave it to them!
I am not exactly sure what the name of this beautiful stringed instrument is…but it reminds me that one of the most amazing things about life here on Earth is the music! …the sheer variety & breadth & beauty of music here on Earth is not to be matched anywhere in the whole, entire Universe, I would venture to guess…
LB & Seala have music in their blood…& as soon as they began to play, beautiful notes swam all around us, bouncing off of the ground & back up into the sky!
It reminded me of this lovely song known throughout the world…the Chan Chan song by the Buena Vista Social Club…
I’ve heard a dazzling array of beautiful songs since coming to Earth…blues, hip hop, folk & pop songs from every continent (except Antartica, maybe?), opera & classical music, gospel & choir & reggae…rock & country…jazz & techno…I just love them all!
…But the Chan Chan song is very special, I am not sure why…it has a little bit of a happy & sad sound as Seala puts it, & I always love to hear it!
