my magnetic mom ball with seala & lb

Did I ever tell you that my Mom Ball is magnetic?

Yes, it’s true!

a moment of quiet

My Mom is very unique.  For one thing, unlike most roundish clay balls, my Mom is heart-shaped!    And for another thing, my Mom Ball is magnetic!

Once in a blue moon, my Mom will try to steal a quiet moment of meditation & contemplation out by her old-school space kayak…

guess what...

…and then before too long,  Seala & LB will find her, to share with her something very important they just discovered!

mom & pop, seala & lb

…and then my Pop will feel her magnetic pull, & realize that he must find her!  Right away!  And tell her something that is on his heart!

where is my magnetic mom...

…and then I just need to see her beautiful & warm smile that tells me all is right with the world…

sunday afternoons...

…and before we know it, my sister Tessa & her dear husband Thor & baby Joy–who moved to a little home nearby–fly in in their blue space kayak, because they feel the tug of our magnetic Mom!

Mom, you’re  the best!

hmm...the milk container

Have you ever wondered how to easily spread sand onto the icy sidewalk in front of your house or apartment building?  Or wondered what on Earth you could use your spare gallon milk or orange juice container for,  instead of recycling it?

Well, here is a handy, long-lasting  sand spreader for you!  All you will need is an empty gallon milk container, 2 ladders, & a pair of scissors!

2 ladders & some scissors

making the cut

Propping the ladders carefully along the sides of the milk container, and using a pair of sturdy & sharp scissors, simply cut out a good sized opening around the mouth of the container, above the handle…The handle will come in very handy later on, when you scoop the container full of sand & then walk along, shaking it from side to side & gently letting out a stream of sand!

Until the next snow, this can also be used as a playscape for your children, if they are very tiny like mine!

Stay tuned for another time, when we produce a seedling planter AND an impromptu funnel from an old half gallon container!
