Well, during these cold winter months, I admit I am getting the tiniest bit homesick for my little aquamarine planet far away in the Adromeda Galaxy, the planet known simply as “~” or “Little Wave”!  Here are some pictures I found of my childhood home…

What I miss in particular is our early morning ritual, how we greeted each new day with a swim…

Every morning before daybreak, my friends & I would meet in the warm or sometimes cool waters in front of our homes for a little swim!  This picture above was taken by one of our elders, coming home in their space kayak after an overnight expedition to a neighboring planet…

a heavy mist rolls in each morning 1000x613 my childhood home

Each morning, a very dense mist would roll in as the sun began to rise…is was very beautiful & mysterious, my favorite time of day!  It was a time of wonderment.

My friends & sisters & I would swim & splash until the sun rose & the mist started to clear…& then it would be time to collect some fruit for breakfast & get ready for school….

I have so many memories of morning like these, as in the photo above…we would be awake & laughing & ready for a new day’s adventures, or sometimes silent & daydreamy & hoping to float around for another eternity or so…

In this photo, the children are heading to their homes for breakfast, while the parents come out to welcome them & say good morning to the sunshine & the water & the sky…

…and that is how the clay balls at home still greet each & every new day!

 love,

Clay Ball
