after-school hours…

After searching long & hard, & trying out many jobs during my short time here on Earth, I was so lucky to at last find a job where I can be home when the children return home after school! (Is it just me, or is it quite a challenge to raise children here on Earth?!?!?)
I am happy to say, that the children’s new friends, Cap & Ami, are still here in the after-school hours, and the four children spend many peaceful afternoons together. Sometimes, they will find a whole crew of other children in the neighborhood, but most times it is just the four of them…Cap & LB, Ami & Seala…playing…playing…arguing…playing…playing…
LB is not yet quite ready to build his own space kayak, but, in the meantime, he is teaching Cap all about the finer points of space kayaking, using my steady old kayak as a model…
Ummmmm…..LB! Please! Off the roof with the space kayak!!!
Here, Cap & LB were about to reenact the time we wanted to take a giant tomato on vacation, and the space kayak capsized…
…but then instead, the four friends all decided to go to the park…& the rest of the afternoon was spent happily frolicking in the wide-open spaces…
Ahhhhhhh…
…I am not really sure why I just thought of it just now, but my friend Tabasco taught me this useful little thing:
It is called Breathe in, breathe out.
Breathe in…breathe out…
….Breathe in…breathe out….
….Breathe in…breathe out…
It works! Really!
Try it, you’ll see!

Clay Ball
p.s. If anyone has any tips to share for parenting here on Earth, I would be happy to hear them! You see, there are much wider vistas here than on my tiny little home planet… & things seem a bit more complex! love, c.b.
