learning the ropes
Since arriving on this beautiful planet Earth, I’ve been trying to learn the ropes!
Some of the ways here on Earth seem pretty familiar, such as…
…trying to get along with all those other living things around…
“hi, moss!”
…that wacky, beautiful, & wondrous terrain called family relationships…(known on my planet simply as ”the final frontier”)…
… then there is cooking (which on my little home planet consists mainly of delicious aquatic plants & flowers, grown in miniature underwater gardens!)…
…&, of course, bathing, swimming, splashing, & rolling about to stay healthy & happy!
On the other hand, there are many things here on Earth that are quite a bit more puzzling to newcomers…
Luckily, I have my new neighbor Tabasco to help me out! I will have to ask her what to do about this mysterious item I found today:
What secrets does it hold? How long do I need to keep it?!?!
Does anyone out there know the answers?
Well, all I know for sure is,
love rocks the stars!
love,
Clay Ball
p.s. Beautiful meteor showers are expected tonight, August 12, 2009…I hope you can see them near you! The Earth travels through the Perseid meteor showers about the same time every year, travelling on her pathway around the Sun!

Dear Kassie,
Thank you for your comment! My home planet is not near Perseus, but here is a photo from NASA of that area… http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap090508.html (Kassie, after you open the link, if you click the photo to download it, & then click it again, it is very beautiful! I would love to travel there someday!)
I did have a close encounter with a meteor once.
It was a very beautiful but dangerous spectacle! Of course, the meteor I saw was not showering, per se, but was just sitting quietly…
I hope to see the meteors from the safety & comfort of Earth tonight! :)

Dear Clay Ball
Again you are way ahead of me. Just wanted to tell you about the Peseids and here I see your P.S.
Of course you know about these things better than anyone here on Earth
My burning question to you is:
Is your original home anywhere near Perseus or are you familiar with that region out there?
Have you ever seen the incredible spectacle from close by and would you sometime describe it to us?
Yes, Love rocks the stars!
Kassie
wow!
